President Obama received 332 electoral votes and Mitt Romney 206 in the 2012 presidential election. Obama got 62,604,550 popular votes (50.5%) compared to Romney’s 59,126,638 (47.9%). Obama won all of the key battleground states except North Carolina where he lost by a margin of 2%. After a one week delay, Obama won Florida with a margin of 75,000 votes.
